Dressed emitters as impurities

چکیده

Dressed states forming when quantum emitters or atoms couple to a photonic bath underpin number of phenomena and applications, in particular dispersive effective interactions occurring within bandgaps. Here, we present compact formulation the resolvent-based theory for calculating atom-photon dressed built on idea that atom behaves as an impurity. This establishes explicit connection with standard impurity problem condensed matter. Moreover, it allows us formulate settle model-independent context properties previously known only specific models not entirely formalized. The framework is next extended case more than one emitter, which used derive general expression dissipationless Hamiltonians explicitly featuring overlap single-emitter bound states.
